Branch Driver
About the Role
Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, wireless communication, and related supplies in the United States. We operate through eight regions under various banner and trade names, including Rexel, Rexel Automation, Gexpro, Mayer, Talley, and Platt Electric Supply. This role is based in Stockton, CA, as part of our PLATT team.
The Branch Driver I is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required). You will ensure deliveries are prepared efficiently, materials are correct, and free of damage.
Responsibilities
- Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service, and maintenance; alert supervisor of needed repairs.
- Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
- Load and unload vehicle, ensuring all materials for each order are correct and undamaged before departure.
- Assist in preparing orders for delivery as needed.
- Complete all delivery documentation, including obtaining customer signatures on delivery receipts.
- Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition, quantities, and catalog numbers.
- Pick up materials from company suppliers.
- Perform other branch duties as required, such as counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, and maintaining branch equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must attend company driver training if no prior experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
- Must obtain a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
- No suspended driver’s license due to traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years.
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
Skills
- Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not exceeding 26,000 GVW.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills and good attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Pay
$19.06 to $20.50 per hour, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
