About the Role

At Chart, we design and build some of the world’s most advanced cryogenic equipment. Our customers bring us challenges, and from concept to commissioning, you’ll help create solutions supporting industries like aerospace, clean energy, food & beverage, and more. This role involves general manual labor in a manufacturing setting, working with fiberglass and various handling equipment to move and prepare products.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving product.
• Work with leads, coordinators, painters, and the warehouse department.
• Report equipment malfunctions and other issues affecting department operations.
• Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move products between boxing and warehouse areas.
• Maintain good housekeeping and organization throughout the department.
• Ensure all products have proper identification.
• Use power tools and Bondo filler for touch-ups as needed.
• Balance blade products per engineering specifications.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to meet production demand and maintain minimum stock levels.
• Comply with all Chart policies and procedures.

Physical Work Environment

• Frequent walking, standing, use of hands, bending, lifting, and sitting.
• Indoor working conditions with lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• PPE must be worn at all times.
• Able to work overtime as required.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3 months of experience in a manufacturing setting, fast-paced environment, or construction.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Team-work oriented and safety-conscious.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
