Box Truck Driver

About the role

The Box Truck Driver coordinates and participates in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, delivery, and inventory of materials. This role ensures orders meet specifications, quantities, and quality standards, verifies stock, identifies losses, and maintains safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to transport orders and materials to designated sites.
• Load delivery vehicles, ensuring all items and supplies are properly secured.
• Maintain files and records (e.g., Bill of Lading, Delivery Documents) to document activities.
• Maintain and inspect vehicles (e.g., check fluid levels, fuel, clean) for safe operation.
• Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
• Prepare orders by pulling stock to meet delivery requirements.
• Receive stock and non-stock items, ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality are correct; inspect for damage.
• Stock equipment and supplies to maintain required inventory levels.
• Load and unload items to distribute shipments to assigned locations or individuals.
• Deliver products to customers safely, timely, and courteously.
• Coordinate with customers before and during delivery to determine product placement.
• Follow all State/Federal DOT regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL B).
• Clean driving record.
• Adherence to safety practices.
• Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Physical Demands

• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds (some products will be heavier).
