Box Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver to join our supply chain organization department. The role involves driving all heavy-duty vehicle types to deliver cannabis products to retail locations and third-party retailers. Prior cannabis industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pick-up, load, and transport finished products directly to customers
  • Follow routes and time schedules
  • Package product and operate delivery vehicle
  • Receive feedback on services and resolve client complaints
  • Collect payments, handle cash and change
  • Complete logs and reports
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Comply with driving rules and regulations
  • Avoid traffic, weather conditions, etc.
  • Assist with store delivery and pick up, loading and unloading, removing dunnage and pallets
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations
  • Handle basic issues and problems
  • Refer more complex issues to higher-level staff

Qualifications

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Coachable, highly motivated, and driven to succeed
  • Receptive to critique and training
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Able to create, maintain and build professional relationships and rapport

Requirements

  • Over 21 years of age
  • Valid California driver's license with 0 points, no accidents in 3 years
  • Clean driving record
  • Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday
  • Work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer
  • Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool
  • Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance

Pay

The pay rate for this role is from $20.00 to $23.00/hour.

Schedule

Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
