Box Truck Driver

About the role

TOMRA, an international recycling company, is looking for a Box Truck Driver to transport used beverage containers and store supplies in a safe and timely manner for our Farmington, NY location.

Responsibilities

• Operates a box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations
• Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service
• Loads, secures and unloads cargo
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
• Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver
• A valid driver’s license
• Must have a "satisfactory" driving record
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 50lbs +
• Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A high school diploma

Pay and Schedule

$21.00/hr + overtime, Monday through Friday, 7:00a - 5:00p
