Box Truck Driver

Our employees are our most valuable resource and due to our continued and rapid growth we have a full-time Box Truck Driver/ Packer position at our brand-new facility in Hauppauge, NY (Long Island, Suffolk County).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick-up orders and returns
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Load and unload work and delivery vans and trucks
• Prepare all orders for shipment, fill and ship orders
• Operate a forklift, pack and shrink wrap boxes and skids
• Turn in receipts received from deliveries
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
• Report any mechanical problems encountered, delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to Supervisor or Manager

• Other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

• Valid NY drivers license and clean driving record required
• Ability to read maps and follow written or verbal geographical directions
• Must be a team player, dependable and reliable
• Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50lbs without assistance
• Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Must be available to work assigned shift and overtime if required
• Able to follow orders with minimum supervision
• Able to write and speak effectively in English
• Knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required
• Able to follow safety standards
• Able to be on-call for emergency situations
