Box Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Assists in loading and unloading trucks at the shop, finisher, and job sites.
• Uses company-provided technology/software to properly track/scan material and finished products.
• Documents required paperwork for shipping and receiving, and confirms all components are accounted for before leaving for deliveries or going to the finisher.
• Interacts with Project Managers and Plant Manager when at the shop and job sites.
• Works with employees while at the shop/job site to ensure the truck is loaded/unloaded with the right material and hardware per job.
• Adequately adheres to all motor vehicle laws while operating RGS-owned vehicles.
• Reports any problems/issues or maintenance needed on trucks to the Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License (required).
• DOT issued medical card (RGS will assist with any recertification/renewals) (required).
• MUST be able to lift over 50 lbs. consistently.
• Clean driving record.
• CDL Class A preferred, not required.
• MUST be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Education

• High school or equivalent (required).

Experience

• 1-2 years driving a 26’ box truck (26,000 lb).
• 1 year of direct laborer experience (loading/unloading).
