About the Role
Drive box trucks between staging areas and multiple greenhouses at Green Circle Growers. Coordinate and stage hardgoods supplies for production and packaging. Communicate frequently with the management team to ensure supplies are ready in advance.
Responsibilities
- Gather supplies in advance before starting a production work order or packaging
- Oversee the need for extra supplies during completion of jobs
- Keep production and packaging area organized
- Remove and organize pallets
- Empty cardboard and trash throughout the day
- Stock soil room supplies as needed
- Move completed pallets of packaging to the dock and organize by load
- Unload trailers as needed to assist receiving
- Use box truck, tow motor, and tug daily
- Proper disposal of inventory labels
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Flexible work schedule, including some weekends
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and cleanliness standards
- Proven initiative and responsibility demonstrated through prior work experience
- Team player with a positive attitude
- 2+ years of verifiable experience
- Clean driving record
- Previous experience gathering inventory supplies for assembly/production work cells (a plus)
- Trained or ability to be trained as a tow motor operator
- Strong communication with the management team
- Able to stay on task and work independently
- Flexible with changing direction throughout the day
- Good attendance and ability to work extra hours when necessary for prepping jobs
Physical Environment & Requirements
- Work in a plant/production facility, occasionally outside or in-store; possible extreme heat/cold depending on the season
- Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction
- Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200 lbs), bending, and crouching
- Occasionally requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing, and handling
- May require ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck, car, van, tug, forklift), or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipment
- CDL license or tug/forklift certification may be required
