Box Truck Driver

About the role

As a local Class B delivery driver at Dutch Farms, you will deliver refrigerated and frozen food products to grocery stores throughout Illinois and Indiana. You will operate an assigned truck and return home daily.

Schedule

• 4:00 AM start time
• Scheduled Monday through Friday, every other Saturday
• Off every Sunday and every other Saturday

Pay

• Starting wage of $24 per hour
• Time and a half after 40 hours
• Paid weekly
• Weekly gross pay: $1,000 – $1,300
• Annual gross income: $64,000 – $67,000
• Potential additional income up to $3,200 through bonus structures:
  • $1,000 Attendance Bonus
  • $1,200 Safety Bonus
  • $1,000 Equipment Collection Bonus
  • $500 Referral Bonuses

Responsibilities

• Inspect and complete thorough pre- and post-trip checks on all equipment
• Push, pull, lift, and rotate items with a physical demand limit generally at 60–70 lbs., occasionally up to 150 lbs.
• Utilize pressure bars and e-track bars to ensure load securement and safety
• Safely unload product at customer deliveries
• Maintain all necessary and accurate load paperwork
• Maintain professional communication with management
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
• Comply with DOT regulations, including electronic logs and hours-of-service (HOS) rules

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License
• English Language Proficiency (ELP) as required by DOT regulations
• Familiarity with electronic logs and HOS regulations
