Box Truck Driver

CTR Group is seeking a local Box Truck Driver in the Newport News, VA area. Immediate openings available.

Pay

$20-25 per hour, paid weekly.

Schedule

7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available for overtime past 3:30 pm and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive automatic transmission box truck and/or pick-up truck.
• Deliver to commercial customers within the state of Virginia.
• Follow routes and time schedules.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
• Complete logs and reports.
• Follow all regulations and safety standards.
• Obtain customer signatures on delivery paperwork.
• Count and package sheet metal products.
• Move product by hand, cart, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Perform general labor duties when not making deliveries.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver.
• Valid driver’s license (non-CDL).
• Ability to operate forklifts to load and unload tractor trailers and straight trucks (preferred).
• Experience with material handling or moving odd-size/oversize products with a forklift (helpful but not required).
• Ability to drive in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations; must meet insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger movements.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance; flexibility for overtime.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
