Box Office Manager - Royal Oak Music Theater
About the role
The Box Office Manager will oversee the ticket office, manage event ticketing, and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain promotional event ticketing system
- Manage seating inventory from event build through event settlement
- Hire, train, and empower staff to ensure adherence to departmental guidelines
- Create events using appropriate ticketing software and ensure accuracy and timely responses
- Maintain equipment and update ticket and show information in internal software
- Maintain rapport with artist management and venue for ticket needs and sales
- Lead staff in implementing customer service policies and resolve customer issues
- Prepare and provide event settlement reports and ticket counts to finance and other departments
- Run production department meetings and review seating diagrams and production layouts
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
- 4-6 years of related work experience, including prior supervisory experience
- Experience in the music industry and event planning
- Experience with ticketing systems and basic database knowledge
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of computerized ticket sales, preferably Ticketmaster system
- Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
- Computer savvy, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Able to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
