Botany Specialist

About the role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting botanical surveys, managing plant collections, and contributing to research projects in the field of botany.

Responsibilities

• Conducting botanical surveys to document plant species and their habitats
• Maintaining and expanding plant collections for educational and research purposes
• Collaborating with researchers and other scientists to contribute to botany-related studies
• Assisting with the development and implementation of conservation strategies for threatened plant species

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Botany or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in botany or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plant taxonomy and ecology
• Experience with plant identification and documentation techniques
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
