Bookkeeper
About the role
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our Controller with the day-to-day financial operations of a growing SaaS company. You'll assist with core accounting functions — from Accounts Payable/Receivable to month-end close — and help ensure our books remain accurate as we scale. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean books, thrives on routine, and wants to grow within a finance team at a tech company.
Responsibilities
- Support with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity
- Aid in monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries as needed for period-end closes
- Aid in preparing supporting schedules for financial statements as needed
- Support during external audits
- Maintain organized records and supporting documentation
- Flag process gaps and support the Controller in implementing workflow improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 - 5 years of accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to SaaS or tech industry
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows
- Proficiency in Quickbooks
- Proficiency in Ramp or other bill pay systems
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc)
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to support day-to-day tasks
- Must be tech-savy and comfortable learning new tools and software
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Must have the ability to manage high transaction volume accurately
- Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment
- Bonus: Cybersecurity experience
