About the role
Arandell, a leader in high-quality commercial print solutions, seeks an expert Bookbinder to join their production team. This role involves setting up and controlling machines, ensuring quality, leading a team, and providing feedback to management.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and controls the assigned machine for each job specified.
- Maintains machines regular maintenance, keeps machine ready to run product, and ensures a clean and neat work area.
- Checks and controls quality of products on a running basis.
- Manages and directs the supporting staff to productivity needs.
- Runs the machine at the optimal production speeds relating to the specified goals set by the Bindery Manager or Supervisor.
- Solves production requirements that may cause slower production speeds and provides feedback to management and supervision.
- Performs all special duties assigned by the Bindery Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Ensures all duties are performed safely and in accordance with all safety rules and requirements.
- Maintains a positive customer relations approach towards visitors, customers, and employees.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with stitching and/or bindery equipment.
- Ability to utilize logic and conceptual thinking skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Requires the ability to provide effective and clear written and oral communication.
- Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and respond to manufacturing questions as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Frequent use of hands to type, finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.
- Frequently standing and walking, occasionally climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay
The pay range for this critical role is $24.00 - $38.50 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
This full-time, night shift role operates from 6 PM to 6 AM, three to four days a week.
