Embroidery Operator - Night Shift

About the role

Nassau Candy Distributors, Inc. is seeking two (2) experienced Embroidery Operators to join their production team at their Ronkonkoma facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and values precision and quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate embroidery machines, ensuring all necessary requirements are met.
• Assess pre and post-treatment needs for garments.
• Select appropriate thread colors for each job.
• Complete sewouts of new logos for client approval.
• Run sample logos for production.
• Operate multi-head embroidery machines (Barudan and Tajima experience preferred).
• Troubleshoot routine machinery malfunctions and report issues to management.
• Maintain clean, organized equipment and workstations.
• Follow safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to GMP policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in embroidery operations.
• Experience operating Barudan and/or Tajima embroidery machines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using embroidery machines.
• Knowledge of basic sewing techniques.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Pay

$18.50 per hour.

Schedule

Night Shift: 3:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
