About the role
As a Boiler Operator, you will operate boiler and chiller plant systems and machinery according to specified parameters. You will report to the Chief Boiler Operator.
Responsibilities
- Operate boiler and chiller plant systems and machinery.
- Perform routine tests on boiler water and chill water systems and treat those systems chemically to maintain specific standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair maintenance on boiler and chiller plant machinery.
- Respond to boiler and chiller plant emergencies according to operating instructions.
- Conduct cleaning of plant spaces, equipment, and piping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School graduate.
- Completion of an approved course in high pressure steam boiler operations.
- Current Fireman License with the City of Wilmington.
