About the role
As a Boiler Operator you will operate boiler and chiller plant systems and machinery according to specified parameters. You will report to the Chief Boiler Operator and perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tests on boiler water and chill water systems and treat those systems chemically to maintain specific standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair maintenance on boiler and chiller plant machinery.
- Respond to boiler and chiller plant emergencies according to operating instructions.
- Conduct cleaning of plant spaces, equipment, and piping.
Requirements
- High School graduate.
- Completion of an approved course in high pressure steam boiler operations.
- Current Fireman License with the City of Wilmington.
