About the role

The Boeing Security & Fire Operations (S&FO) team is seeking talented, forward-thinking students to join our 10–12-week Summer 2027 internship. You will gain hands-on experience across corporate site security, aviation security, emergency preparedness, business resilience, and fire protection engineering. Interns contribute to real-world projects while supporting daily operations in risk assessments, access control and camera-system monitoring, airport/airfield security protocols, and compliance documentation. You will work cross-functionally with facilities, operations, legal, and emergency response teams to see how layered protection strategies keep people and operations safe.

In this role, you will help design and test emergency exercises and business continuity playbooks, analyze vulnerabilities and mitigation options, assist in industrial fire engineering assessments, translate technical findings into stakeholder briefings, support aviation security audits and access-control improvements, and contribute to after-action reports that shape future resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Support risk assessments, access control, and camera-system monitoring
  • Assist with airport/airfield security protocols and compliance documentation

Qualifications

  • Ability to work full-time for 10–12 weeks during Summer 2027
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027

Schedule

10–12-week internship during Summer 2027. Some positions are hybrid, some are 100 % onsite, and some are virtual; work location will be determined at the hiring team’s discretion.

Some positions may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required) and/or must meet Export Control compliance as a “US Person” (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees). Employer is not willing to sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
