About the role
Kansas City Peterbilt is seeking experienced Body Shop Technicians for its growing Body Shop Department. The ideal candidate should have one year or more experience as a Body Shop Technician, Mechanic, or Collision Repair.
Responsibilities
- Complete major and minor body repairs.
- Perform fiberglass repairs.
- Perform aluminum body panel repairs and replacement.
- Perform steel and aluminum welding.
- Accurately and completely inspect vehicles (DOT, PM, Quality Control).
- Diagnose and repair ABS, HVAC, electrical systems, air brakes, wheel ends, suspension, and steering.
- Adhere to warranty policies and procedures.
- Use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnosis and repair.
- Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.
Requirements
- Heavy lifting required.
- CDL preferred.
- One year or more of Body Shop / Collision Repair / Mechanic experience (preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
- Promote and maintain a positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude.
- Willingness to listen and follow directions/advisement from leadership team.
- Understand the importance of safety in the work environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnosis and repair.
- Accurately document repair orders.
