Qualifications
- Education and/or experience in paint repair preferred
- A high school diploma or the equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Wash vehicle to remove dirt, oil, grease, and debris from painted surfaces.
- Locate and remove imperfections on panels prior to painting.
- Treat scratched and chipped areas with plastic or liquid filler.
- Apply paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as bumpers, windows, chrome trim, and other parts while surrounding area are painted.
- Smooth unmasked surfaces with sandpaper, removing gloss from previous coats of paint and sand rough spots.
- As assigned, assist in the mixing of paint according to the manufacturer specifications.
- After the vehicle is painted, remove tape and clean vehicle.
