Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and parts for paint by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming surfaces.
- Remove and reinstall trim, moldings, lights, and other components as needed.
- Repair minor surface imperfections prior to painting.
- Mix and apply primers and sealers as directed.
- Ensure all surfaces are properly cleaned and free of contaminants before painting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Work closely with painters and other collision center team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or in an automotive collision repair environment preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive paint preparation techniques and materials.
- Ability to sand, mask, tape, and prep vehicles efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
