Paint Prepper

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles and parts for paint by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming surfaces.
• Remove and reinstall trim, moldings, lights, and other components as needed.
• Repair minor surface imperfections prior to painting.
• Mix and apply primers and sealers as directed.
• Ensure all surfaces are properly cleaned and free of contaminants before painting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow all OSHA safety standards and company policies.
• Work closely with painters and other collision center team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or in an automotive collision repair environment preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive paint preparation techniques and materials.
• Ability to sand, mask, tape, and prep vehicles efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
