Body Robot SE Engineer, Contingent Worker

This is a 12-month contract role located in Georgetown, Kentucky.

About the role

We're looking for a passionate and highly motivated Robot SE Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to support new model SE studies utilizing 3D factory modeling and offline robot teaching tools (C3). Reporting to the Robot SE Manager, the person in this role will support the Robot SE team’s objectives to ensure robotic welding feasibility and design for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Study welding processes for feasibility
• Estimate robotic welding process cycle time
• Provide feedback on design concepts
• Support the SE and Process Engineering teams for Bodyweld model change activities
• Communicate study outcomes to primary and secondary stakeholders
• Work across multiple data formats to develop robot welding strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering OR 5 years of equivalent Engineering Related Experience
• Experience with welding robots in manufacturing environment
• Experience with offline robot programming software
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays & shutdown periods (July and End of December), and across multiple shifts to support tooling modifications and installation projects
• 1-5 years experience and proficiency with 3D CAD
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work up to 55 hours a week
• Willing to relocate and work in Office in Georgetown, KY
• Must have the right to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for immigration-related employment now or in the future

Skills

• Automotive pre-production or manufacturing engineering experience (added bonus)
• Automation experience including specification, tooling/jig design, equipment procurement, and installation (added bonus)
• 3D CAD experience (Catia or Delmia) (added bonus)
• Experience with creating or editing SharePoint Flows (added bonus)

Schedule

• Shift timings: 9 AM to 5 PM
• Average overtime: typically 5 hours/week
• Peak overtime: may be 20 hours/week

Pay

The pay range for this role is between $35.00 - $43.00/Hr.
