Body Journeyman

About the role

The Body Journeyman at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman under minimal supervision. They are responsible for performing skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, troubleshooting major problems, helping to train apprentice Bodymen, maintaining a neat and orderly working area, advising the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary, and maintaining favorable relations with customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimal supervision.
• Trains and assists apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.

Requirements

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in truck body repair or other applied body repair service.
• Positive can-do attitude.
• Necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities.
