Body Journeyman

About the role

The Body Journeyman at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is responsible for performing all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman under minimal supervision. This role involves skilled and complex body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, troubleshooting major problems, and training apprentice Bodymen.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimal supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
• Works with and helps train apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in truck body repair or other applied body repair service.
• A positive can-do attitude.
• Necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities.
