Body Journeyman

About the role

The Body Journeyman at Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is responsible for performing all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair Bodyman under minimal supervision. This role involves skilled and complex body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, troubleshooting major issues, and training apprentice Bodymen. The position also requires maintaining a neat and orderly work area, advising the Shop Foreman on additional repair needs, and fostering good customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled and complicated body work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with minimal supervision.
• Trains and helps train apprentice Bodymen.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Works with customers to maintain favorable relations.

Requirements

• CDL preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in truck body repair or other applied body repair service.
• A positive can-do attitude.
• Necessary tools required to perform position responsibilities.
