About the role

We are seeking a Bodily Injury Adjuster to manage extended-handling bodily injury claims ranging from soft tissue injuries to moderate-severity claims. This team supports claims across the Northeastern states. The ideal candidate will have experience handling bodily injury claims, interpreting policy language, and identifying coverage issues. Litigation experience is not required. An active adjuster's license is preferred due to the states supported by this team. We are open to candidates located in the eastern or central time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.
  • Handles investigation regarding all aspects of advanced auto claims (coverage, liability, and damages) with discretion and independence within an increased level of authority.
  • For claims involving injuries, reviews, evaluates, and negotiates basic to moderate injury claims.
  • Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understands other potential property damage.
  • Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
  • Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.
  • Applies increased experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, etc.).

Requirements

  • Experience handling bodily injury claims, interpreting policy language, and identifying coverage issues.
  • Active adjuster's license is preferred (required to terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding).
  • Applicants holding a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team.
  • Candidates must be located in the eastern or central time zones.

Pay

Base compensation offered for this role is:

  • BI Adjuster Analyst III: $50,000 - $74,350
  • BI Adjuster Cons I: $50,000 - $86,400
  • BI Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $93,250
  • BI Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500 - $117,700
  • BI Adjuster Sr Cons II: $70,100 - $124,500

Annually and based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes base pay plus incentive pay (e.g., commission, bonus) if applicable.
