About the role
This opportunity is part of a team development program supporting evolving business needs across Bodily Injury and Homeowners Liability claims. Team members may gain exposure to a variety of claim types and handling responsibilities, including extended handling, litigation, and homeowners liability claims, based on business needs, performance, and development goals. The team seeks an experienced Adjuster with a background in both Bodily Injury and Homeowners Liability claims. Litigation experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases
- Apply advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
- Handle investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with discretion and independence within an increased level of authority
- For claims involving injuries, review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims
- Recognize and identify vehicle body parts and other potential property damage
- Identify customer needs and work to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
