Boat Sales Consultant - Full Time

Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Engages all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
• Meets with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs.
• Provides information necessary to allow the customer to make an informed buying decision.
• Maintains current product knowledge using available resources (e.g., product brochures, Internet, product information training meetings).
• Stays aware of advertised items, current pricing structures, and promotions.
• Remains current on and adheres to all selling skills training and direction.
• Works cooperatively with the Service Department to ensure seamless delivery to the customer.
• Maintains complete confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.
• Prepares the showroom each morning to ensure proper signage is in place per established presentation standards and all products are clean, presentable, and in sellable condition.
• Generates and manages leads and prospects in the provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool daily, including entering new customers and conducting/documenting follow-up activities.
• Participates in special events such as Boat Shows and Parking Lot events.
• Accurately completes all necessary paperwork required within the selling process.
• Meets and exceeds pre-determined individual monthly sales goals based on employment status, schedule, and historical sales.
• Maintains a clean and professional work area.
• Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computer system and Point of Sale register system.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stands for extended periods.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $14.00 - $16.75 per hour.
