Boat and ATV Sales Consultant

About the role

The Boat & ATV Sales Consultant assists customers in making informed buying decisions for boats and ATVs by providing excellent customer service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
• Determine customers' boating and ATV needs and provide information to help them make informed buying decisions.
• Maintain current product knowledge using resources like product brochures, internet, and training meetings.
• Stay aware of advertised items, pricing structures, and promotions.
• Adhere to selling skills training and direction.
• Work cooperatively with the Service Department to ensure seamless customer delivery.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.
• Prepare the showroom daily, ensuring proper signage, cleanliness, and presentation of products.
• Generate and manage leads and prospects in the CRM tool, including follow-up activities.
• Participate in special events such as Boat Shows and Parking Lot events.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately during the selling process.
• Meet or exceed individual monthly sales goals based on employment status, schedule, and experience.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Experience operating computer systems and Point of Sale register systems.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $16.00 - $18.75 per hour.
