Board Operator
Overview
Talk Radio 1210-AM WPHT in Philadelphia has openings for part-time Board Operators.
Responsibilities
- Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs.
- Operating the board during local and syndicated talk radio programs and sports events.
- Screens calls during local call-in shows.
- Researching broadcast topics, providing creative input on broadcast elements and collaborating with hosts on show content.
- Scheduling guests and live interviews.
- Recording news, weather, and traffic feeds for broadcast.
- Editing relevant video and audio sound bites for on-air use.
- Contributing to social networking and website updates.
- Producing and running live station remotes.
- Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
- A good working knowledge of current events.
- Prior experience is a plus.
- Experience using Adobe Suite editing applications like Audition and Premiere Pro.
- Dependability and punctuality are a must.
