Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and managing the end-to-end development of Maryland Board of Public Works (BPW) agenda items.
  • Preparing, reviewing, editing, and formatting detailed information for all Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) contracts requiring BPW approval or reporting.
  • Requesting, verifying, and approving legally sufficient contract documentation, including managing payment and performance bonds, processing tax verifications and contract affidavits, and ensuring strict compliance with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation forms and affidavits.
  • Developing and compiling comprehensive presentation packages regarding current MAA agenda items for the BPW Review group and upcoming BPW meetings.
  • Preparing and delivering high-level briefings for the Director of OPAMM and MAA Executive Leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Preparing reports regarding contracts that were approved by the BPW when requested by MAA Executive team or MDOT.
  • Responding to inquiries from contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other interested parties regarding projects, contract documents, schedules, and procurement procedures.

Qualifications

  • Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work, including managing the end-to-end development of Maryland Board of Public Works agenda items, preparing, reviewing, editing, and formatting contract documentation for BPW approval or reporting.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate, or possession of a Bachelor's degree, or a Master's degree.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
