About the Opportunity
The BMW Automotive Warranty Administrator role focuses on managing warranty claims specifically for BMW within a broader team of over 300 administrators. The position requires dedicated expertise in warranty administration, aiming to ensure accurate claims processing and compliance with manufacturer policies. This role is essential to maintaining efficient warranty operations and supporting dealership compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review warranty claims for manufacturer policy compliance
- Use proprietary CARS application to address dealer compliance issues
- Book, code, and submit claims for payment
- Account for and resolve differences in payments
- Maintain accurate warranty receivable schedules to support dealer cash flow
- Keep certifications current and stay informed on updated policies and procedures
- Assist dealerships in remaining compliant with manufacturer warranty policies
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Warranty Administrator in a franchised automotive dealership
- Comprehensive understanding of the automotive warranty process including booking, coding, and compliance
- Ability to motivate dealership personnel
- Proficient in DMS software
- Knowledge of dealership service departments and warranty accounting
- Ability to interpret technician stories and apply appropriate labor codes
- Certification or training from at least one manufacturer
Pay Range and Compensation Package
- Salary range from $45,000 to $65,000+ per year
- Guaranteed salary for the first 90 days probationary period
- Commission available after 90 days
- 6% 401(k) match
