About the Role

This position is 100% in-person and works within an Automotive Service facility, located in South Kansas City. The Warranty Administrator at Master’s Transportation will be responsible for managing the warranty claims processes, vendor interactions, and ensuring compliance with warranty policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with over twenty different OEMs and suppliers to optimize warranty operations. The role is required to provide positive and professional service to internal and external clients, while managing multiple priorities with a sense of purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to establish and implement warranty policies and procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency
  • Oversee daily warranty operations, including filing and tracking claims with vendors and OEMs
  • Analyze warranty data to assess claim validity, accuracy, and trends
  • Inspect defective products and gather relevant documentation to support warranty claims
  • Maintain and monitor warranty databases for precise recordkeeping and reporting
  • Serve as a liaison with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to facilitate warranty claims resolution
  • Develop strategies to improve warranty processing efficiency and reduce turnaround times
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company warranty policies and OEM guidelines
  • Train and mentor service advisers on warranty submission procedures and best practices
  • Submit annual labor rate increase requests to OEMs based on training requirements and industry benchmarks
  • Stay updated on warranty regulations, industry innovations, and emerging best practices

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2+ years of warranty administration, automotive service administration, dealership operations, fleet maintenance administration, or related experience
  • Experience processing vehicle warranty claims preferred
  • Experience working with OEM warranty systems, service management software, or dealer management systems preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial fleet, transportation, heavy-duty truck, bus, or specialty vehicle industries
  • Knowledge of Ford, Chevrolet, RAM, Freightliner, Mercedes-Benz, or similar OEM warranty programs
  • Experience reconciling warranty receivables
  • Experience reviewing repair orders for warranty compliance
  • Familiarity with service department operations and technician workflows

Work Environment

In office, in-person, and in automotive service shops as needed.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Schedule

Full-time, may consider part-time hours. Monday-Friday, daytime between the hours of 7 am-7 pm.
