Primary Position Objective
Brief Description of Duties
- Captures and coordinates Center purchasing through planning and budget control
- Justifies service selections through competitive pricing guidelines in accordance with FAR and Serrato Corporation procurement policies and procedures
- Verifies purchase request terminology and specifications
- Creates statement of work for construction, services, and supplies, including the bidding package
- Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates, and awards contract to the supplier with the best bid
- Maintains purchase orders, researches potential vendors, and performs other purchasing-related actions using a computer system
- Ensures proper record and file maintenance
- Confers with suppliers regarding late deliveries
- Works towards meeting performance management goals
- Fulfills daily responsibilities within CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system
- Evaluates personnel under his/her management and makes recommendations regarding disciplinary actions, promotions, and/or merit increases
- Maintains adherence to property control policies and procedures
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Serrato policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures
- Demonstrates and abides by Serrato Corporation's core values and operating principles
- Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards
- Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement
- Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat
- Strong negotiation skills, analytical skills, and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all input
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors
Experience
- One-year purchasing, marketing, sales, or related experience required
- One-year supervisory experience preferred
Education
- Associate's degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and training
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Certificates/Licenses/Registration
- Valid State Driver's License
