Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all team members of their tasks.
- Review and approve all time sheets for payroll.
- Cook with any tank truck movement with Plant Scheduler and prepare for their arrival/departure on the Bulk schedule and Production schedule.
- Work with all ISR’s to schedule blends to complete customer orders and schedule shipments on Bulk Schedule
- Communicate with all ISR’s through email/phone to answer any questions
- Review blend sheets from lab for accuracy before initiation/completion to operator
- Have complete knowledge of all ISO Blending and TCT’s safety rules
- Have thorough understanding of all blending procedures
- Have complete understanding of the inventory system and be able to order raw materials as needed
- Have a thorough knowledge of all scale house procedures
- Insure that all flush material is handled, stored and labeled properly
- Have complete understanding of the Boiler and be able to manage steam pressure as needed
- Be able to order nitrogen if needed
- Be able to switch and release railcars through the BNSF system
- Cooked any railcar switches for Plant with the Operators
- Be able to fill in for other Blending Supervisor during absence
- Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors
Knowledge and Skills
- High School Graduate or GED desired but not required.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years blending experience Supervisory experience is preferred
- Skills and Competencies: Have knowledge of plant safety rules Have good communication skills Knowledge of the Inventory system Must have basic computer skills to work with company software such as: word, excel, Microsoft Dynamics, and mfiles. Must be respirator trained and certified Must be forklift certified Be ready and willing to receive standard training Must be able to read and interpret an SDS, also know the location of the SDS book Be able to follow the Hurricane and flood procedures if needed. Must be able to read and process an order in an adequate time period Knowledge of our quality policy and objectives Must understand Nitrogen blanketing, purging and drying process. Must understand sampling procedure (railcar, truck and tank) Learn basic product identification Proper hose section, cleaning and storage Must understand the dry air system Must be able to fill any tote, pail or drum ordered from the Production run Tank, tank truck and tank car transloading Must be able to follow all procedures when handling “food Grade” products
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- The team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- The team member is occasionally required to sit.
- The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally move or manipulate drums weighing between 200-400 pounds.
