About the Role

The Blender ensures the proper blend of concentrates according to customer specifications, maintaining food safety and quality. This role reports to the QA Supervisor and is based in Springdale, Arkansas.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow blending guidelines on formula sheets to meet company and customer specifications.
  • Match color, flavor, and other quality attributes of juice to control standards.
  • Weigh and pump ingredients for batches; open drums and containers for blending.
  • Perform quality checks (brix, acid, pH, sensory, color) and adjust batches to meet specifications.
  • Use computer touch screens to fill batch tanks with bulk ingredients.
  • Research inventory needs and make batch corrections using computers.
  • Use handheld scanners to batch formulas.
  • Resolve batch-related errors and perform sanitation of tanks/rooms.
  • Move empty drums/totes/bins for disposal or storage.
  • Maintain food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Report actual or potential food safety issues to management.
  • Adopt and maintain SQF requirements for the position.
  • Collaborate with supervision to resolve food safety/quality issues within scope.
  • Conduct taste tests (up to a couple ounces per test) as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of manufacturing experience (blender experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, percentages, and bar graph interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Blender and production experience.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience in the food/beverage industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Credibility, integrity, and ability to build professional relationships.
  • Experience training others.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Frequent: Standing, walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, crouching; pushing/pulling; lifting up to 50 lbs; operating machinery/equipment; exposure to wet/humid conditions and temperature fluctuations.
  • Occasional: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above/at shoulder height; wearing a dust mask; confined entry using LOTO program; exposure to toxic/corrosive chemicals.

Schedule

Wednesday: 12 PM–6 PM
Thursday–Saturday: 6 PM–6 AM
Off Days: Sunday–Tuesday
