Blend Operator - Night shift

General Purpose The Blend Operator is responsible for following all DFA Ingredient Solutions GMP’s and working in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, and quality and sanitation requirements. Job Duties And Responsibilities Weighs each ingredient and add to the batchEnsures the product is ready to dryCarries out all QA checks in the mix roomOperates the pH meter, refractometer, etc. to keep product within specificationsPerforms necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenanceFollows established plant operating and cleaning proceduresFollows Good Manufacturing PracticesAssists with safety analysis and on the job training of new employeesAttends educational training seminars as needed (i.e. loss control)Attends and participates in safety meetingsReports unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents immediately to supervisorAssists in accident investigationsCovers vacations and overtime as needed or requiredAssists with duties in other departments as needed Performs other work as assigned , Minimum Requirements Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Basic computer skillsAbility to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job safety analysisAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percentagePerforms work independently, as requiredKnowledge with machines, tools, equipment, and lockout tagoutMust be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer $24.35/hour
