Blades Aircraft Technician B
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Blades Senior Aircraft Technician to join the Blades Repair team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role involves performing various functions on rotor blades, including receiving, moving, inspection, tear down, repair, balancing, and return to service in accordance with Airbus Helicopters, Inc. documentation and procedures.

Working environment
Located in a suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters employs over 1,000 people. The Dallas area is home to seven professional sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, who have a custom Airbus helicopter that may be seen flying during home games.
Responsibilities
- Perform tear down, cleaning, inspection, repair, assembly, and closeout of rotor blades (80% of role).
- Maintain close coordination with assigned lead regarding schedules, priorities, and availability of parts, supplies, and tools.
- Develop a clear understanding of methods and procedures for rotor blade repairs.
- Effectively utilize hand tools required for inspection and repairs.
- Develop skills in cleaning, sanding, bodywork/filling, and painting rotor blades and related components.
- Assemble finished products and complete required documentation for rotor blade inspection and repairs.
- Ensure work complies with customer specifications, FAA regulations, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, blueprints, and RDAS.
- Serve as a customer interface (5% of role), proactively identifying customer needs (internal and external) and advocating for their interests.
- Support logistics (5% of role) by managing parts, supplies, and tools as needed.
