Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Blades Senior Aircraft Technician to join the Blades Repair team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role involves leading and assisting technicians in performing inspections, repairs, and final completion procedures to ensure high-quality products.

Working environment

Located in a suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters employs over 1,000 people. The Dallas area is home to seven professional sports teams, including a custom Airbus helicopter dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys.

Responsibilities

  • Tear down, clean, inspect, repair, assemble, and close out helicopter blade components (75% of role).
  • Perform incoming inspections with a clear understanding of methods and procedures.
  • Use hand tools proficiently to execute inspections and repairs.
  • Clean, strip, and repair all blade types as required.
  • Apply repair techniques to return piece parts to service.
  • Assemble finished products and complete final paperwork, including quality gates for QA creation of 8130-3.
  • Create technical emails and reports for Airbus Helicopters (AH) and Airbus Helicopters Deutschland (AHD).
  • Maintain high attention to detail and ensure compliance with customer specifications, FAA regulations, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, blueprints, RDAS, and Airworthiness Directives (A.D.’s).
  • Minimize scrap levels and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Engage with internal and external customers (10% of role), understanding and proactively meeting their requirements.
  • Seek customer feedback and act on it to improve service levels.
  • Support team efforts and prioritize business and customer interests over local or individual concerns.
