Black Student Success Initiative Intern (BSSI Intern) (Solano Campus)

Education$20/hrInternship
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually we have sections: Job Summary, About Cal Poly, About Cal Poly Maritime Academy, Working Within the California State University System (maybe not needed), Job Duties (list), Required Qualifications (list), maybe Pay (hourly rate $20.00), Schedule (Up to 20 hours per week), Benefits? Not mentioned. Also we have Working Title, Classification Title, Department Name, Time Base, Hours to be Worked, Supervisor's Name, Pay Plan, Bargaining Unit, Employment Type, Pay Rate Hourly Rate, Application Deadline (Open until filled). We need to include only sections with real specific content. We should not repeat job title as heading. We should not include Job ID etc. We should drop boilerplate like EEO, legal, application instructions, disclaimer, etc. Also remove navigation/cookie etc. We need to preserve all substantive information. We need to decide which sections to include: About the role (maybe Job Summary), Responsibilities (Job Duties), Requirements/Qualifications (Required Qualifications), Benefits? Not given. Pay: we have hourly rate $20.00. Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week. Could also include Supervisor name? Not required but could be part of metadata in a short p. The instruction: "Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So we can include a short paragraph with metadata like Working Title, Classification Title, Department Name, Supervisor, Pay Plan, Bargaining Unit, Employment Type, Hours, Pay Rate, Application Deadline. But we should not create headings for those unless they are substantive sections like Pay, Schedule, Benefits. We have Pay and Schedule sections because we have specific content: Pay Rate $20.00 hourly, Schedule Up to 20 hours per week. Benefits not mentioned, so omit. We also have About Cal Poly and About Cal Poly Maritime Academy; these are descriptive about the institution. Could be part of "About the role"? Probably better to have sections: About the role (Job Summary), About Cal Poly (maybe as part of About the role?), but instruction: Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Pay, Schedule. Possibly also About the organization? Not in list but could be considered part of About the role? The example list includes About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we should stick to those headings only if we have content. We have Job Summary (About the role). Responsibilities (Job Duties). Requirements (Required Qualifications). Pay (hourly rate). Schedule (Up to 20 hours per week). No Benefits, Skills, Qualifications separate? Could combine Requirements and Qualifications? The list includes both Requirements and Qualifications as separate possible headings. We have Required Qualifications; we could put that under Requirements or Qualifications. Probably better to use Requirements heading for the list of qualifications. Or we could have both Requirements and Qualifications if we split? But we only have one list; we can put it under Requirements. Or we could have Qualifications heading with same content. The instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So better to have one section for qualifications. Thus sections: About the role (Job Summary), Responsibilities (Job Duties), Requirements (Required Qualifications), Pay (Hourly Rate $20.00), Schedule (Up to 20 hours per week). Also maybe include a short paragraph for metadata like Working Title, Classification Title, Department Name, Supervisor, etc. Could be placed before sections as a

. That is allowed. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, application instructions, disclaimer, etc. Also remove the sections about Cal Poly Maritime Academy integration etc? That is substantive? It's about integration but maybe not needed for the role. The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." So we need to keep all substantive information from the posting. That includes the About Cal Poly and About Cal Poly Maritime Academy paragraphs, and the Working Within the California State University System paragraph. Those are substantive about the institution. Should we include them? They are not covered by the heading list but we could include them as part of About the role? Or we could add an additional heading like "About the University" but not in the list. The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It gives examples but not exclusive? It says "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." Likely they expect only those headings. However, we must preserve all substantive information; if we omit the About Cal Poly paragraphs, we would be losing substantive info. So we need to include them somewhere. Perhaps we can include them under About the role heading, expanding the content to include those descriptions. That would preserve the info while using allowed heading. So About the role section can contain the Job Summary plus the About Cal Poly and About Cal Poly Maritime Academy and Working Within the California State University System paragraphs. That seems reasonable. Thus About the role

About the role

then

with the combined prose: Job Summary + About Cal Poly + About Cal Poly Maritime Academy + Working Within the California State University System. Ensure we keep all details. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

then
  • each duty from Job Duties. Requirements

    Requirements

    then
    • each qualification from Required Qualifications. Pay

      Pay

      then

      Hourly rate: $20.00.

      Schedule

      Schedule

      then

Up to 20 hours per week.

We should not include Benefits, Skills, etc. We must not include any filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. We must not include application instructions, EEO, etc. We must not include the job title as heading; we are not. We must not include metadata like Working Title etc as headings; we can incorporate them into a short paragraph maybe before sections? But we already included all substantive info in About the role; we could also include metadata like Working Title, Classification Title, Department Name, Supervisor's Name, Pay Plan, Bargaining Unit, Employment Type, Application Deadline in a short paragraph. The instruction: "Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So we can add a short paragraph with those details. However, we already have Pay and Schedule sections covering pay rate and hours. The metadata includes Working Title, Classification Title, Department Name, Supervisor's Name, Pay Plan, Bargaining Unit, Employment Type, Application Deadline. Those are minor; we can fold them into a short p at the top. Let's craft a short paragraph: "Working Title: Black Student Success Initiative Intern (BSSI Intern). Classification Title: Student Assistant. Department: Culture and Institutional Excellence. Supervisor: Meagan Nance. Pay Plan: Hourly. Bargaining Unit: CSUEU, Unit 15 Student Assistants. Employment Type: Temporary. Application Deadline: Open until filled." We can put that as a

before the sections. Now ensure we don't repeat any info already in sections: Pay rate and schedule are separate; we already have those in Pay and Schedule sections, but we also mentioned Pay Plan: Hourly in metadata; that's okay but could be redundant. Might be okay but we could omit Pay Plan from metadata to avoid duplication. However, the instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; we can keep it but it's okay if slightly duplicated. Better to avoid duplication? Not required to avoid duplication, just preserve all. Duplication is not prohibited. But we might want to keep it concise. We'll include metadata paragraph with Working Title, Classification Title, Department Name, Supervisor, Employment Type, Application Deadline. Pay Plan and Bargaining Unit maybe optional but we can include. Let's include: Working Title, Classification Title, Department Name, Supervisor's Name, Employment Type, Application Deadline. Pay Plan and Bargaining Unit maybe omitted as minor. Now produce HTML. Check that we didn't include any markdown fences. Output only HTML fragment. Let's draft:

Working Title: Black Student Success Initiative Intern (BSSI Intern). Classification Title: Student Assistant. Department: Culture and Institutional Excellence. Supervisor: Meagan Nance. Employment Type: Temporary. Application Deadline: Open until filled.
