About the role
JRI’s Community Based Services division provides care to ensure that families and their children with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs obtain the services necessary for success in the home, school, and community. In this position, you will support this mission by conveying your passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Support youth in an after-school environment using strength-based and needs-driven choices.
- Collaborate with the people we work with in a team-based approach grounded in individualized services and evidence-based practices.
- Learn and use new clinical interventions to support youth in a social and educational setting.
- Explore and strengthen your clinical knowledge through the use of evidence-based modalities.
- Develop and improve your documentation skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Participate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
Requirements
- Minimum working towards a Bachelor's degree or above in the mental health, social work, or human service field.
- Interest in working with children/adolescents.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
