BK Billing Specialist - Temp!
Purpose
With minimal supervision, the Billing/Fee Approval Processor ensures timely and accurate billing for a specified group of legal case files. This is a temporary assignment that will last between 90 - 120 days of employment.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Approves transactions using Phoenix, a legal data management system
- Reviews transactions for accuracy and verifies pricing
- Requests fees through client electronic databases
- Resolves discrepancies through interaction with appropriate departments and clients
- Maintains frequent telephone contact with internal and external clients
- Create and maintain daily and monthly reports as requested by management
- Responds timely to inquiries from internal and external clients
- Affords assistance in research and special projects to management
Job Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- At least two years of work experience in Accounting, Billing and/or Accounts Receivable
- Legal billing experience highly preferred
- Billing experience with a law firm that has a high transaction volume highly preferred
- Prior Phoenix experience highly preferred
- Working knowledge of real estate foreclosure and bankruptcy process
