Billing Specialist

Job Description

• Work closely with the Team Leader while verifying all new patient accounts that have been added to the system.
• Include a variety of related tasks such as reviewing insurance benefits for accuracy, utilizing payor portals to establish patients’ benefits, communicating benefits to fellow co-workers at the clinics, testing accuracy of patient benefit information, completing daily action item requirements, and complying with confidentiality requirements according to HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Access PT.

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal skills, relationship-building skills, and ability to use persuasive communication to effectively work with patients in a cooperative manner in order to improve patient satisfaction.
• Ability to analyze data for statistics, navigate through the EMR system, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational skills, being a self-starter, high energy level, meeting growth goals, professionalism, and living according to company culture is paramount in this position.
