BK Billing Specialist - Temp!

Purpose

With minimal supervision, the Billing/Fee Approval Processor ensures timely and accurate billing for a specified group of legal case files. This is a temporary assignment that will last between 90 - 120 days of employment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Approves transactions using Phoenix, a legal data management system
  • Reviews transactions for accuracy and verifies pricing
  • Requests fees through client electronic databases
  • Solves discrepancies through interaction with appropriate departments and clients
  • Maintains frequent telephone contact with internal and external clients
  • Create and maintain daily and monthly reports as requested by management
  • Responds timely to inquiries from internal and external clients
  • Affords assistance in research and special projects to management

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • At least two years of work experience in Accounting, Billing and/or Accounts Receivable
  • Legal billing experience highly preferred
  • Billing experience with a law firm that has a high transaction volume highly preferred
  • Prior Phoenix experience highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of real estate foreclosure and bankruptcy process

  • Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

  • Must be extremely organized and be able to multi-task
