Bistro Server/Cook/Cashier

About the role

The Bistro at Courtyard by Marriott offers a chic, fast-casual restaurant concept with an eclectic menu of to-go and full sit-down options, including Starbucks coffee. As a Bistro Team Member, you will serve as a versatile food and beverage professional, performing tasks such as:

• Serving coffee and other beverages
• Preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
• Processing all orders and collecting payment from customers
• Assisting in food and beverage areas, including bussing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests
• Cleaning and maintaining food and beverage prep areas
• Counting the bank at the end of shifts
• Following property control audit standards and cash handling procedures

• Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs
• Assist individuals with disabilities
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
• Support the team to reach common goals
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended time period

Requirements

Must be available to work a flexible shift including possible split shifts as well as weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures
• Ability to perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Ability to count money accurately
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
