About the role

In collaboration with the Bistro Manager and Concierge, the Bistro Cafe Associate is responsible for providing the best culinary experience and ensuring satisfaction is a top priority. Our patients look forward to their meals every day and we look forward to providing them with great food that invokes happiness and joy.

Pay

Starting pay is $17.85 per hour, composed of a $17.00 per hour base wage plus $0.85 per hour Hero Pay. Yearly wage increases are offered.

Schedule

Part‑time position, day shift, includes rotating weekends and some holidays. The team can work with your scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the functioning of the Bistro, its programs, and activities.
• Prepare, cook, and deliver an EPIC food and beverage service program while maximizing customer satisfaction.
• Assist in the coordination of food‑related activities with other departments.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every daily interaction with guests, their families, and visitors.
• Through kind words and encouragement, promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive.

Requirements

• ServSafe and Allergen Trained
• Starbucks Barista trained
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide Bistro services
• Knowledge of food service laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities and food service establishments
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff
