BioSpine - Orlando - Radiology Technologist

Duties/Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in x-ray / fluoroscopy technologist skills.
• Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning and consistently produce high-quality images.
• Demonstrate competence and proficient use of equipment.
• Adequately troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Oversee and manage the performance of required maintenance of equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures as directed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in procedure preparation.
• Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling procedures according to physician’s preference card.
• Proficiently practices radiation safety for self and patient. Wears radiological monitoring devices and adheres to principles of radiation protection.
• Maintain established safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Report infractions to supervisor.
• Follow the center exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
• Radiology Technologist license (as required by State)
• ARRT certification (as required by State)
• BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy)
