Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and calibrations of laboratory equipment.
- Maintains documentation of service performed in accordance with requirements outlined by licensing and accreditation agencies.
- Maintains a physical inventory of key equipment repair parts.
- Aids in preparing the location for new equipment, ensuring all necessary requirements for proper operation are met.
- Installs and tests new equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Aids in instructing laboratory personnel on the proper use of instruments.
- Aids in maintaining calibration equipment used on laboratory equipment.
- Aids in coordinating outside service requirements to ensure timely repairs.
- Aids in monitoring work performed by outside service organizations.
Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and at times assist Biomedical Engineers in moving equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred).
Skills
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Logical thought process.

- The ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members and lab personnel outside the department.

Pay and Schedule
- Pay range: $20.19+ per hour.
- Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
- Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
