About the role

The Department of Biology at Portland State University seeks qualified Adjunct Instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in core areas of Biological and Biomedical Sciences. This is a recruitment listing; actual course assignments depend on departmental needs and funding availability. Instructors must reside in Oregon or Southwest Washington.

  • BI 453/BI 553 Biology of Aging
  • BI 455/BI 555 Histology
  • BI 463/BI 563 Neuroscience II: Sensory and Motor Systems
  • BI 471 Plant Ecology
  • BI 486/BI 586 Pathogenic Bacteriology

Requirements

• MS in Biology or a closely related field
• Teaching experience in undergraduate or graduate biology courses
• Residency in Oregon or Southwest Washington

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Biology or a closely related field
• Teaching experience in undergraduate or graduate biology courses
