Position Schedule

This is a full-time position that will work 1200 PM - 1030 PM Saturday - Tuesday.

Training Schedule

Candidate must be available to attend training in Charlotte Monday through Friday 730am to 400pm for a period of 3-4 weeks. (Based upon when hours are worked positions may include a shift and weekend differential of $1.50 - $4.50 per hour.)

Essential Functions

• Ensures suitability and accurate labeling of products for release and distribution
• Performs data entry associated with component production, labeling, storage and shipping ensuring accurate and complete manufacturing records
• Maintains and performs quality control checks on equipment
• Operates, maintains and performs quality control checks on equipment
• Quarantines and disposes of unacceptable products and/or samples and performs quality control on blood products
• Ensures adequate inventory of required supplies
• Provides customer service to internal and external customers and vendors
• May operate a OneBlood courier vehicle when applicable

• Ability to organize work for timely completion
• Ability to multi-task, while maintaining the safety of blood components
• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
• Ability to speak, write, read and understand English
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Skill in operating office equipment and technology
• Ability to report to work during a disaster, public health emergency or other catastrophic event

Physical Requirements

• The work environment involves the performance of moderately physically demanding work for extended periods of time, involving standing, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds).
• Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment.
• Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Environmental Requirements

• The work environment is usually moderate in noise level.
• Performance of this job could expose the employee to blood-borne pathogens and freezers at below-freezing temperatures (-30F/-35C).
• The work environment may involve exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances.
